ISO9001:2000 Certified

ISO9001 is an internationally recognized quality management standard. Organizations certified to this standard are routinely audited by a Registrar. The Registrar ensures that the organization meets the published standard. The ISO9001:2000 standard requires a commitment to customer satisfaction by meeting customer and applicable regulatory requirements. Organizations must also strive for continual improvement.

EMD Chemicals Inc. achieved several quality milestones in 2003. First, our Hawthorne, NY, facility achieved ISO9001 certification. Second, all EMD Chemicals facilities successfully migrated and were certified to the new ISO9001:2000 standard.

Our Registrar, ABS Quality Evaluations, has issued two certificates. The first for the Savannah, GA, and Hawthorne, NY, facilities, which focus on pigments and specialty chemicals. The second for the Norwood, OH, and Gibbstown, NJ, facilities, which focus on laboratory chemicals & supplies and life science products. Our current ISO9001:2000 certificates are posted for your convenience.
